Public Civil Rights

Various civil rights laws and regulations protect patient and public access to and benefit of Cedars-Sinai programs and services, such as Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, the Age Discrimination Act of 1975, Section 1557 of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010, and the regulation issued pursuant to these statutes to which Cedars-Sinai is subject, including the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services regulations at Title 45 Code of Federal Regulations Parts 80, 84, and 91.

In accordance with these civil rights laws and regulations, Cedars-Sinai does not exclude, deny benefits to, or otherwise discriminate against any person on the basis of race, color, national origin, disability, age, or sex in admission to, participation in, or receipt of the services and benefits under any of its programs and activities, whether carried out by Cedars-Sinai directly or through a contractor or any other entity with which Cedars-Sinai arranges to carry out its programs and activities.
